The Wired Human Curriculum

The Wired Human Curriculum is a comprehensive, value-driven approach designed specifically for middle school students, grades 6-8, to help them navigate the complexities of the internet and digital world. Developed by the Wired Human Academic Advisory Committee, this course addresses the unique challenges and opportunities that young adolescents face in today’s technology-driven society.

Our curriculum is built on the understanding that while the internet offers incredible opportunities for learning and connection, it also presents significant risks to young users’ mental health, safety, and overall well-being. By providing students with the tools, knowledge, and values they need, we aim to empower them to make informed decisions and develop healthy digital habits that will serve them well into adulthood.

Who Could Benefit from this Curriculum?

  • Middle school teachers and educators
  • School counselors and psychologists
  • Youth group leaders and mentors
  • Parents and guardians of middle school students
  • Community organizations focused on youth development

This curriculum is designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing educators and mentors to integrate it into various educational settings, including traditional classrooms, after-school programs, youth groups, and home-schooling environments.
